Step 1. If the tube end plugs (B) are not factory inserted, insert them into each end of the tube (A). Step 2. Install the two set-screws (E) into the fan-mount plate (C) just enough so the plate slides onto the tube. Step 3. Slide the fan-mount plate onto the tube a few inches. Tighten set screws (E) just enough to temporarily secure the fan-mount plate (C) to the tube. Ensure the flange (D) is pointing in the upward position. Step 4. Place the top of the tube, with the fan-mount plate flange (D) up, on the desired mounting surface. Place a mark on the mounting surface at the top of the tube and at the bottom of the tube. Step 5. Install one mounting hanger (F) approx. a 1⁄4” below the top mark using a mounting hanger screw (H). Step 6. Install one mounting hanger (F) approx. a 1⁄4” above the bottom mark using a mounting hanger screw (H). Step 7. Loosen the mounting hanger bolts (G) enough to allow the tube to be inserted. Insert the top of the tube into the top mounting hanger (F) far enough to allow the bottom of tube to be inserted into the bottom mounting hanger (F). Step 8. Position the tube so that an equal amount of tube is exposed above the top mounting hanger and below the bottom mounting hanger. Securely tighten the mounting hanger bolts.
